Spiking Towards Success: Ladue Middle School Volleyball Shows Heart in Season Openers

The Ladue Middle School (LMS) Volleyball team officially kicked off their 2023 season this past week, facing tough competition against Pattonville and Clayton. While the scoreboard didn’t register a win in the first four matches, the young Lady Rams displayed a tremendous amount of grit, determination, and competitive growth—all excellent signs for the weeks ahead.

The week served as an invaluable introduction to live match play, highlighting both the areas where the team excels and where focused practice will make a big difference. Coaches have noted the girls’ enthusiasm and quick-learning attitudes, traits that are essential for development at the middle school level. Against their formidable opponents, the LMS athletes showed flashes of brilliant teamwork and individual skill, proving they have the foundation to build a winning program. The competitive spirit was evident as the matches progressed, with the team finding more cohesion and challenging for points even when behind.

The Lady Rams are set to take on Westminster on Thursday, October 2nd. This upcoming match provides an exciting opportunity for the team to demonstrate their competitive growth and turn their hard-earned practice into positive results.

The future is bright for Ladue Middle School Volleyball. With their energy, commitment, and a few good practices, these athletes are well on their way to serving up success!
